Ramblings (Underdog Chamber)

It is the anniversary of my Bday (yeah, I like it that way). I’m 39 once again, for now and forever!

Sad thing is, before I get some sleep here shortly, is that I still don’t feel good right now. No, not ’cause of the age thing, but just because I don’t feel well. Will see how I feel after I get some sleep.

For now though, in the wee hours here, I’ve put in the battery to Violet Beauregarde. For those who do not remember, I name all my Macintosh computer (why not). So the Blueberry iMac has its clock set, and Quake is still running like a champ (not that I expected anything different). I’ve pulled out the old Asante 100Mpbs router too (yeah, no switch, a router – for those in the know). Not the fastest thing in the world, but for good old Quake, it works just fine.

So as of now, I have a network of 1 computer! More to go as I pull my computers out of storage. And no, I have not forgotten about the Apple II. I just need time to get the disks for that system ready.

Ack! I need some rest though, and hope I feel better when I wake up.

Violet (Blueberry iMac) – Asante LAN router

As in late in the night. I’ve been up doing various things around the house, including laundry again (like doing dishes, it never ends). I’ve got some stuff lined up to do for the UC ’09 display, but have not gotten to them today. Just not enough time. I will probably be pulling out a few iMacs tonight, if I can, just to get those ready. Mainly put in a battery, test, and ready to go. Should not be any issues there. Other than that, hope those out there had a good Valentine’s Day!

It was a slow day today, in regards to any UC preparation. Between school and some other things today, including tons (and I mean tons) of laundry, there just isn’t any time for UC work.

Thus I make this simply daily post. And hope… (about what – I’m not telling the public, that’s for sure).

As much as I didn’t want to do it, I crashed today after working too much on the weekend. Well, that, and the city decided to bust up concrete on my street today. Suffice it to say, I slept (or tried to) most of the day. Thus, I didn’t get much done, except find a possible source for some games to run an a Mac+ or SE. I’ve been thinking of bringing one of these old machine to the show, and if the game I have in mind will work, then it will be there.

That is it. Almost midnight, so Monday is pretty much done for. How time flies.
