I’ll admit that I’ve been busy doing other non-UC related stuff. I finished my Spring semester a week ago, and am now busy with some secret junk. After that, I really need to hunker down and gets some certifications under the belt (hopefully). Been thinking a bit about the UC, plus a friend has offered some new stuff (at least for my area), for 2011. Time will slowly tell…

Slowly moving toward Summer 2010
Monday, May 24th, 2010Pick Axe Pete, Japanese style!
Tuesday, April 6th, 2010Been a bit busy on the side the last week since the MGC show selling Japanese Pick Axe Pete Odyssey2 games to five buddies overseas (that’s Europe folks). Not making much money at all, as I’m mainly doing it for some online friends, and Odyssey2/Videopac people are somewhat rare. That’s why I like them!
School days again…
Monday, April 5th, 2010Been a bit busy with school lately. Lab work, getting ready for the first big test, and so on. Even bought my 2nd Windows machines since 2000 (Toshiba 15.6″ laptop)! :O Yup, got it mainly for VMWare Workstation, for the most part. Works good at that, except for the screen height, which is a bit of a pain (would have preferred a MacBook Pro, but not till later this year). I’ll be posting more things here for MGC 2010, 2011, and finishing the recap later this week.
April is here
Thursday, April 1st, 2010I thought of putting an April Fools thing up here, but put ones elsewhere instead. I did not feel like going overboard on it.
Other than that, for a Spring day, it is way to hot here in Wisconsin. It is supposed to break a record tomorrow, getting close to 90°! :O
One thing about WI that drive me a tad nuts, is that it goes from Winter for month to Spring for a few weeks to Summer in the blink of an eye.
Last day of March, 2010
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010I’m still slowly working on the MGC 2010 recap for the UC area. Hope to have it done soon, but I’m working on other things at this moment. One thing I’m going to work on soon is an addition to the UC exhibit, if it works. Time will tell.
And, three more days till the iPad comes out! I don’t plan on buying the first model, but it is starting to look good, especially in pre-release reviews!
Working on 2010 recap
Tuesday, March 30th, 2010I have started on the recap of this year, under the ‘pages’ section. Should hopefully have it done by Wednesday afternoon – when I get my favorite glider chair repaired
Zzzzzzzzzzz (part 2)
Thursday, March 18th, 2010Zzzzzzzzzzz (Once again, that is how I spent most of the day. Sorry about that.)
About the only other thing I did today was think about making a few last minute changes. I won’t deny that pulling the TI out of the UC area is one of them. Why, because I really don’t want to step on Erik Olson’s shoes too much, as he will have bigger TI display in the Museum area. Thus, contemplating removing it and replacing it with something else. Or, leaving it as is, with the sign pointing out that Erik Olson has more stuff in the museum (and knows more about it to).
I personally don’t like these pickles, as someone points this out every year for some system. If I only displayed what other don’t, frankly, I wouldn’t do the show at all. Systems like the Gamecube and Intellivision have been in other areas. The Jaguar too, which I still want to have in my area (true underdog if ever there was). I’ve held off on that because of JagFest (but am closer to doing it anyway). I don’t mind being the underdog display, but I don’t want to be the what-everyone-else-won’t-show display!
Ruby tuesday…
Tuesday, March 16th, 2010Zzzzzzz
Monday, March 15th, 2010Zzzzzzzzzzz (yup, that’s what I mostly did today, sorry)
Tangerine iMac getting there…
Sunday, March 14th, 2010Going to bed real soon. I got the tangerine colored iMac up and running, after some difficulty with the RAM that it came with (had to swap it out with spare RAM I had). Took out the hard drive, which is always a bit of fun, but easier than the newer G3 iMacs. Then copied over the entire drive from the Blue Raja iMac (lime colored iMac). Getting too tired to do anymore, so I’ll put it back together later today, and test it all out on the LAN. If all goes well, the Quake LAN will be complete, and ready to go for the show.
The older G3 iMacs may be slower and have poorer video cards, but they are easier to open and work with, in my opinion. Wish the newer (but still old) G3 iMacs were as easy. They can break too quickly, as I’ve already found out.
And, Happy Birthday to my niece Stephanie today!
